For the last 4 years, we have walked a journey together of saving money, personal ups and downs, and lots of laughs and good times. Unfortunately, it’s time for this to come to an end for me. I’m stepping back from “The Coupon Consultant.” As of now, this is a permanent move, unless the Lord leads me back in this direction.

I honestly can’t give you what God’s plans are for me next, because I don’t know them. I do know the following things:

  1. I need to focus completely on my family.
  2. I need to focus completely on some areas for me personally.  I’m on a journey of improving my health, and more.
  3. I need to figure out exactly what God has for me.  As my husband and I’ve prayed over the last several months, we’ve both seen this coming, but it’s been hard to admit because I’ve poured my life into this and into you.  We are in the adoption process, so maybe that’s part of it.  We just aren’t sure, but do not have a peace about me continuing in this area.

Thank you for your unending support!  And keep saving money!!!

Lori I am sorry to hear that you will no longer be doing this but at the same time I am happy for you to be starting something new. There is nothing better than doing life God’s way. I pray that you do well in all areas of your life and family. Thank you for all that you have done to help others save money. Do you know of any other site that will post Farm Fresh deals? Thanks again for all of your hard work. May God bless you!

Thanks Lori! You know I’ll miss seeing your smiling face every Wed morning as I get my matchups! BUT – you can NEVER go wrong with following God’s plans and will for your life! He had me lay down my nursing job 6 years ago – and I fought it for quite awhile. But in the end – I’m SOOOO glad I obeyed! He didn’t tell me why in the beginning – and even showed me a picture of me choosing to let go – of standing on a rock in a river – and I could choose to either figure out how to get across the river myself, or stand there, let the water rise, and let it take me to where HE wanted to take me. Scary . . . but I chose the 2nd option. It was worth it! He has stripped me of everything that I thought was my identity, and has taught me truly who I am – a daughter of the King of Kings! He also prepared my heart and mind and our family for the adoption of our youngest. Adoption definitely can have it’s own challenges – and each child is different. So being able to fully focus on your present kids and your kids to come will be such a blessing to all of them – your whole family!
God is good . . . All the time. . . and I’m excited for you and this new season He has for you! :) Relax, enjoy and let God move and do things as needed! He’s a big guy and can totally take care of you! :) (let Him do the heavy lifting! :) hee, hee) It’s like I see a big moving truck – and He says to you Lori – “sit back and relax. Take a load off. You’ve been working hard – packing up the boxes, organizing everything, taking care of it all. Now it’s my turn to do the heavy lifting and packing of the truck. Trust me. I’ve got it all under control . . . and it’s easy work for me!” So sit in that chair girl – drink your lemonade – and watch your Daddy go to work on your behalf! :) He’ll do a GREAT job! :)

Dear Lori,
Thank you so much for all of your hard work and dedication over the years. You have most definitely made a difference in my life and that of my family as well. I respect and fully understand your decision to step down. The road to adoption is long, challenging, and often times very confusing. It is most definitely a full-time job on its own. As an adoptive mom, if there is ever an opportunity for me to repay your kindness, please let me know. We spent four years bringing our Lea home. Similar to the pain of natural childbirth, the pain of the adoption process is soon forgotten when you finally get to hold your little angel in your arms. I wish you and your family all the best.
Thank you again,
-Renee

Dearest Lori, Your ministry of “couponing” has been such a blessing in my life. Thank you for four years of hard work and dedication following your heart. New seasons come in Christ and saying goodbye to the past season can be sad but I know our Lord is directing your steps, His Word tells us He does that. I also will pray for you that all your dreams come true and your prayers answered. I so respect you for obeying God and folloiwng Him only. Keeping your mind on things above and not on the things here on earth that draw us away from Him is life and peace (Col 3:2, Rom 8:6). Thank you again for the couponing ministry.

There are a lot of people in the church who are afraid to move on. They want to stay where things are comfortable and familiar. They here the voice saying this is the way walk in it, but they hesitate. You are adopting; you are saving a child’s life. Who knows where that will lead. We will be fine. Pray for someone to pick this idea up and run with it. Pray for someone else willing to step out of their comfort zone. God Bless You1 See you at the library.
