Hampton Roads Show Info 1/27

This is a GREAT week for shopping.  I am going to post the details of the deals as soon as I get off the show.  I was up most of the night with our dog having emergency surgery.  He will be fine, but he has a really bad case of pancreatitis.  Here are the deals I got:

Walgreens:  SOME GOOD FREE STUFF!!!

~Bic Disposable Razors B1G1 Free (Hybrid Advanced or Flex4)
BOGO Free Coupon
Final = Get both for FREE!  Walgreens policy is that they will do this deal.  Occasionally you'll find a manager that has an issue, but I can say I've never had a problem with this.

~Pert Shampoo for Men 2/$5.00
$1.50/1 from 1/24 SS (use two of them)
Receive a $2.00 Register Reward
Final = FREE

~Sure Deodorant for Men
Use in ad coupon it will be 2/$3.00
$1.50/1 from 1/24 SS (use two of those)
Final = FREE

Kroger:  There is a Mega 10 deal this week.  Buy ANY 10 of the participating products and get an immediate $5.00 off your bill. I will list the prices as if you will buy 10 (not of the same product but ANY 10 of the products) with the discount already taken.

~Chi Chi's Salas 16oz  $0.99
$1.00/2 from 12/6 SS
Final = 2/$0.98

~Kraft Macaroni & Cheese (Shapes) $0.49
B3G1 Free from 12/13 SS
Final = 4/$1.47

~Kleenex Facial Tissue $0.99
$0.50/3 from 1/3 SS
Final = 3/$1.97

~French's Mustard $1.19
$0.35/1 from 1/24 SS
Final = $0.49

~Rotel Tomatoes 10oz $0.49
$0.30/1 from 1/24 SS
Final = FREE

I was able to save almost 80% on my bill because of all of the great deals.

Although I only mentioned these items, these are just the tip of the iceberg.  My plan was to have much much more, but with the dog emergency, I did just a few of the deals.  I know you've found more, so post them in the comments section!

I will post the segment later, but you can also see it at the Hampton Roads Show once it's posted.

Happy Savings!

I've already been to Kroger this week too! Some of the other good deals that I got were:

Kraft cheese-.99
$1/2 IP= .98/2 oop

Quaker granola bars-1.49
$.55/1 insert= .94/1 oop

Wheat Thins-1.70
$1/1 IP= .70/1 oop

I Can't Believe It's Not Butter-.99
$1/1 IP= .01 overage

Franks Hot Sauce-1.19
$.50/1 insert= .19 oop

Also, I have a question about Walgreens. If I do the Pert Plus Mens Shampoo deal and get 2RR back can I use those RR's against the Pepsi deal when you get 10RR's back? I'm not a Walgreens shopper but I was going to try this week!

Hey, does anyone know how many times we can do the 10 products = $5 off at Kroger's deal in one transaction?
Thanks,
Athena

So I went to walgreen Kemps/indian river. I was refused the sale. The manager Yolanda was rude to to me. Told me I was committing fraud. Geeze I was getting them to send to Haiti. I had 6 razors and 3 bigi coupons. I have never been treated so badly. To top it off it was my first outing since my surgery Jan 7th. and it made me sad. I did call walgreen and reported that I could not use the coupon and I reported the manager. She got loud with me and pushed the coupons back to me so i would leave.

Hey Laura - I've shopped at that Walgreens before - I usually go to the one on Military (by Target) or the one on Military and Indian River... they have never been unprofessional and I've gone several times. :) Sorry you had a bad experience.

Anonymous...good deals for Kroger. I actually had the Frank's Hot Sauce coupon and couldn't find it anywhere in the store (even asked). About Walgreens, yes, you can use your RRs from the Pert Deal on the Pepsi Deal. The only time you can't is to use the Register Reward on the same deal you received them from. For example, no using Pert RRs on another Pert deal. Hope that helps!

Athena,
I've been told a couple of times that if I had more that 3 of the $5 deals to break it up into multiple transactions. I've also recently been told it's unlimited and had friends who've done it that way. Let me know how you do!

Laura,
SO SORRY! That's just crazy. It's not fun to have it happen that way. Whenever things like that happen, it's always good to contact corporate. Also, you might email them the question of using a B1G1 free coupon with a B1G1 free sale. Then when they write back, you'll have it in writing to show the manager. Glad you're up and at 'em again!

I need a little more clarification on the Kroger deal. I'm going tomorrow. Buy 10 then it's $5 off,
but if you buy 20 is it $10 off?

Our Walgreen's has been sold out of the razors since the day the sale started. I was told they will do rainchecks though. Also, some of the Sure containers have a "try me for free" sticker on them so you can do a rebate to get $2.99 back. Gotta love getting paid to buy something!

Thanks for the clarification on Walgreens!! I went for my first trip and I am pretty pleased with my results! I paid 19.xx with tax for the following(3 transactions):

2-sure deodorants
2-pert plus shampoos
1-filler item
4-stacys pita chips
3-pepsi 12 pks
1-pullups
1-ziploc bags
2-filler items

Plus the sure for men deodorant has a try me free sticker on it for up to $2.99. And the pepsi purchase can go towards the coors rebates i am doing, which will be either $10 or $7.50 back!!

Also, the franks sauce was on the same aisle as the mustard at my store :)

Thanks Lori,! I will do just that. WHen the corpoate calls me back I will ask him for a email or letter with the rules for B1G1 free so I can carry it around with my other coupon policies. The sure deo only works with the sure mens scent correct? Anyone? Both walgreens I went to were out of the mens scent so I did not get any yet.

The franks Hot scauce (i saw 3 flavors) was on the end cap facing meat area at the kroger on providence road. I got 2 of them,1 sour cream,2 sargentos cheese and 5 propels. Spent $6.XX.
That was nice after the beating I took at walgreens !

A Prayer for Animals
Hear our humble prayer,
O God,
for our friends, the animals,
especially for those who are suffering;
for any that are lost or deserted
or frightened or hungry.

We entreat for them all
Thy mercy and pity,
and for those who deal with them,
we ask a heart of compassion
and gentle hands and kindly words.

Make us, ourselves,
to be true friends to animals
and so to share
the blessings
of the merciful.

Albert Schweitzer

I also picked up some cat treats and dog treats, I will donate them to animals in need

I went to Kroger yesterday and they said no limit! Just make sure you do the mutiples of 10. I bought 30 items, got $15 off instantly. They double coupons up to .50 and I got the Old el Paso rice 1.25 less .50 coupon so I paid .25! They have a 4-like item policy. In all I bought 43 items, paid $35.95 with tax, saved $87.41 and part of my bill was Green works laundry det (2 of them) was $8.99 on sale for $6.00 and I had (2) $3 off coupons! So I would have only paid $28 for 41 items!!!

I have been told by 1 Kroger that you can do an unlimited number of deals and another told me a limit of 3 in 1 transaction. Unless you know your Kroger's policy I'd stick with 3 to avoid an issue.

Walgreen's seems to be the same way. Some Walgreen’s don't have a problem with getting both items free and some do. If I end up at an unfamiliar Walgreen’s (they seem to have popped up everywhere) that won't ring up both free I politely ask them to take off the items and go to another store. I try to stick with the same stores so I know what to expect.

I went to Kroger on Sunday and did the Kraft catalina deal 3 times. Catalina ended on 1/24.

I got 31 items. This is what I got

8 Kraft shreds (free plus $4.15 overage)
7 Kraft singles (free)
1 french's mustard (.69)
2 Chocolate chex mix (one free and the other .50)
6 Hunt's sauce (.49 each)
1 Kraft mayo (1.99)
1 Quaker rice snacks (free plus .25 overage)
1 Kroger brand jumbo diapers (5.99)
4 I can't believe butter (free plus .04 overage)

I did 4 separate transactions. Rolled the kraft catalina's (3 total) and grand total paid $8.61 for all 31 items! My french's mustard didn't double and I didn't load my shortcuts coupon for the second chex mix. It was my first time using shortcuts but I'm still learning. But can't complain. It's still a great deal!

I went to Walgreens last week and tried to do a couple of deals. One worked, one didn't. The one that didn't work I used manufacturers coupons on and was told by the clerk that you don't get RR when you use manufacturers coupons. When did THAT start?? This was the Walgreens on Battlefield South in Chesapeake. I am going to the Hanbury store next to see if they have the same policy.

Since I refuse to use WAGS RR at their stores (and since Lori was so kind to tell us that Harris Teeter accepts them) I did the Pert deal three times this week. Getting 0.25 shampoo and took $6 in RR to HT. I was out of butter in the fridge so got four pounds of butter for 2.16! That was my favorite deal this week. A close second the two free Olay lotions at WAGS, as soon as the rebate come back anyway.

Thanks for all you do, Lori.

I just tried to do the razor deal at the Walgreens on Hanbury and I was also told I would have to buy 3 in order to get 2 free. I was only buying them for he homeless at our church next week and I made sure they knew that. So I walked out without them. I could buy a lot more at the Dollar Tree!

I know when I contacted Walgreens before, they told me they had no coupon policy. Is there one? I would love to have a copy to carry around with me.

hi ANN

I WAS TOLD BY CORPORATE THAT YOU HAD TO BUY 1 AND YOU GET 2 FREE! wHATS THE DEAL? nO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. EVERY STORE WAS RUDE TO ME. TODAY I WAS TOLD AT MILITARY HWY THAT I CAN ONLY BUY 2 BECAUSE THEY ONLY HAD 4 IN THE STORE.WHEN I SHOWED THE COUPON THEY REFUSED TO HONOR IT AT ALL. I AM DONE WITH B1G1 AT WALGREENS. CVS NEVER DOES THIS. CVS ALWAYS HONORS B1G1. OH WELL.....WE LIVE AND LEARN...I TOO WAS SENDING MINE OFF TO HAITI. THEY CAN USE ELECTRIC RAZORS.
