Farm Fresh Match Ups 10/7-10/13

October 7, 2009

in Uncategorized

Farm Fresh has really stepped it up this week. There are some great deals. There will be some freebies, especially if you work some of the promos just right. I have the match ups done early! I didn’t sleep at all, but that was because 2 of my kiddos are still so sick. So, I figured that if I was awake, that I needed to be productive! Let me know how you do…and PLEASE email with corrections if you see any. Sleep hasn’t been in the picture in the last few days, so it may show in the match ups. I sure hope not! Get your match ups HERE and have so much fun! This is a great week at Farm Fresh!

Happy Savings!

Thanks for doing this, it's so helpful. I am new to couponing, and this may seem like a silly question, but…I assume your matchups include FF doubling the coupon, including $1 coupons. I can't find anything on their website about coupons at all. Does anyone know if the PA store near Target doubles, or do I need to use another one? Thanks for your help.

Lauren, Lori's matchup list starts off with the dollar doubles, then lists the deals you can get the rest of the week with coupons up to .99 under that. All FF stores double up to .99 every day, always. Only on Wednesdays, every Wednesday, do they double $1 coupons. Unless of course they are running a special, which they sometimes do on the weekend or rarely for the whole week, but its been awhile since that happened. Most FF stores are pretty consistent with their sales, other than managers specials or clearance items of course. FF coupon policy is not on their website anywhere, only printed on the weekly ad. Limit of 20 coupons doubled, limit of two like items purchased with coupons. It now says in their ad that they will not double 'do not double' coupons, but every store is different. My store doesn't care, they take any coupon, as long as the computer on the register will accept it, it will automatically double. Some stores actually take the time to look at EVERY coupon. It's a confusing subject, but if you do some reading on some of the coupon sites (or take Lori's class!), you can learn the hows and whys of couponing, and how to best approach it. There is just a ton of information out there. Good luck to you, it will pay off!!

Does anyone know what the deal is with the Oscar Mayer bacon coupon? Mine shows valid dates of 9/30 to 10/6, which means it is already expired. I assume this is a typo, but does anyone know if the store will still take it? Thanks.

One more question. There are a lot of good deals for the spend $10, get $3 off next order. If you spend $20, do you know if we will get 2 of the $3 print-outs?

First of all, thanks for all of the well wishes!

Then, thanks Annie for answering Lauren's question. You explained so much, and I appreciate you stepping up and doing it.

Lauren, welcome to couponing. It will change your life…and your budget! Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

Mikayla…you are right. The Oscar Mayer coupon is expired. On your way in the door, grab another copy of the ad, so the customer service desk, and see what they say. They should honor it, it came out today.

Also, there is nothing in the ad stating that you shouldn't be able to do more than one of those $10 Mix and Match in the same transaction. If you want to, split it into to 2 transactions just in case.

This is great discussion! Keep it up!

Lori,
Prayer for your sick ones.

Ilove the way you are doing the coupns. What are you doing with catalinas that are brand specific (i.e. a coupon for Dannactive yogurt)? How are you keeping those organized? I may find a zipper thing–clear front– 1 for each store I shop it for them.

Reply

Annie October 7, 2009 at 12:30 pm

Mikayla, as far as the buy $10 get $3, just do two separate transactions, back to back. I do it all the time. You can do this when you have more than 20 coupons as well. The limit is 20 per visit, not 20 per day, and you can make as many visits per day as you wish. I do limit myself to two transactions at a time, tho, so as not to block up the aisles for an extended period.

Also, there is an Oscar Mayer Bacon $1.50/2 coupon from the 8/30 Smartsource insert, expires 10/25.

FF won't take expireds, but HT will, until the Tuesday following the expiration date, when it's ad week ends.

i'm confused about the quaker promo? the add just lists them…can i mix and match the products listed?

Reply

Lori October 7, 2009 at 1:41 pm

Yes, you can mix them, but only within the promotion groups. You can mix the items within the first group, and then mix the items within the second group. Does that make sense, or is it clear as mud? Let me know.

Thanks so much for all your effort….is anyone else having a hard time printing the quaker Q? It just loads a blank page for me….(the one tha says approved pdf)

Reply

Amber October 7, 2009 at 1:54 pm

Oh shoot, I was hoping you could mix and match within the two quaker promos! That would have worked out well for me.

Ann T. October 7, 2009 at 2:38 pm

I went to the Quaker website and printed out as many as I wanted! I only needed 3 but it let me select the number of copies I wanted.

Wow, thanks for the detailed explanation, I appreciate it! I'm finding couponing a little tough because the commissary prices seem to be better than most of the "regular" stores sale items with coupons…trying to determine where to put my efforts. Thanks again!

A 2-Liter bottle of Orange Crush is on sale for $.99. There is a coupon (don't ask me the date!) for $1 off two. So – two bottles free!

I went to the Victory crossing this morning and did the quaker promo as well as one $3 onyo when you buy $10. The quaker promos in my store were mix and match buy any combination of 10 items from the 1.75 ea or the 1.25 ea. The 5.00 came off instantly at the register no problem.

The $3 catalina did not print for the other promo, because my breyers yocrunch rang up as the wrong price. So I got that item for free and they gave me the $3 off manually.

Just got back from FF y'all and their pumpkins are on sale for $3.99… some of the pumkins in the bin had a rebate taped to them from some alcohol company — but no purchase necessary for up to $5.00 — I grabbed one along with the perfect pumpkin (according to my boys) and our pumpkin will be free… Just FYI!

Just got back and spent $10.60 on $27.50 after the coupon matches. Thanks so much!

hey stacy! Thanks for crush update. I had 5 of those coupons! I post my sales on facebook with picture. I just cleaned my pictures out since I had so many. Started a new album today. It wont take me long to build it full of saving pictures! If anyone wants to add me.
Laura Klamer I am the first one that shows up in Va Beach.
My FF had bad comp problems. Baxter road. No catalinas printed. There was a line at customer service. They had to hand write $3.00 credits as the gift card machine was not working too!
I waited 10 minutes for $3.00. lol

ok, i think i failed miserably! :-( i had my 2 yr old with me and missed hte fact that they didn't give me my $3 back on the mix and match and i definitely had the $10 worth….two weeks ago, it didn't ring up either and I had to complain! (but they fixed it)
also, i bought 10 items listed on the front of the ad for the quaker promo, b/c I was way confused on what the deal was….i bought 4 granola bars, 2 quaker oats, 2 pancake mix and 2 syrup…and did NOT get hte $5 off…

just telling this so that you will know to pay close attention!!!

Girls, you're doing great!

I knew I had seen a Crush coupon, but it was not in any of the databases that I use…and in my sleepless stupor could not remember where I had seen it! Thanks for the help on that!

Now, Anonymous who didn't get your 3 dollars off… go back tomorrow, or tonight after kiddos are in bed if you're able, and explain what happened. Customer service is usually really good about that. I have had others do that, and they had success!

I am headed out in just a few to do my run when hubby gets home from church! I hope you all left me some goodies! :o )

About printing from a PDF – I have found that you must look carefully on the toolbar within the PDF itself and use their print button, not the one on YOUR toolbar up above. These PDF's are the best, because they almost always allow you to print as many as you need, just change the print # from 1 to whatever. Just make sure you read the coupon and it doesn't prohibit multiple copies or say one per household, etc.

PS – Super Doubles at Bloom started today, up to $1.99, fyi. I will *try* to work up a list later tonight, after I go to FF, lol.

Went to FF during my lunch break. Got 10 free spagetti on the $10 mix and match. I guess I didn't read the ad right. They said that you couldn't mix and match the whole section, only within that category. The $3 didn't print at the end. I originally got 8 of the Ronzoni pasta and angel soft 4-double bath tissue. I thought that you could mix and match between categories but they said you couldn't. Went to customer service and told them had I known I would have gotten 2 more pastas. So they let me get 2 more but the $3 didn't print still. So they gave me the 2 extra pasta for free and $1 back. Still all a good deal.

Thank you so much for this website! I usually look at the ad myself to see what I come up with and then see what coupon matches you come with to see if I missed anything. I missed the free pasta deal. So thank you!

I came up with 2 extra coupon matches. Northern bath tissue is 2/12. There's a coupon on coupon.com or on RP 10/4. Bought this.

Also, Bush beans on sale for $2.19. There was a coupon I printed I think on Allyou coupon site for 2/$1 a while back. I normally don't eat beans so didn't get this one.

I did great at FF tonight!! Man I love Wednesdays. Here are some of the Free and reeeeeally good deals. First, and not advertised, was this:

bought Success brown Rice for $2.39, used $1/1, there were peelies on all the brown rice boxes for $1/2 Ronzoni Heathy Harvest pasta which doubled, so in all I got 4 boxes of brown rice and 8 boxes/bags of whole wheat pasta for just $1.56 total.
did the $5/10 Quaker deal with the granola bars, used 2 $1/1 Q's, final price: 10 boxes .85 ea!
4 boxes True Delights chewy bars for .25 ea.
2 Orange Crush 2-liters FREE (thank you Stacyg)
2 pkgs Marcal napkins FREE
4 pkgs Buitoni fresh pasta .39 ea
2 pouches Bumblebee tuna FREE
3 multipaks YoCrunch yogurt $1 ea

Plus I got 2 gas receipts, one from each transaction. Last week I got .86 per gallon (thats .86 x 15 = $12.90!) off my gas when I filled up. FYI: the Manager at my little FF told me that they were going to stop giving out gas receipts at the stores that don't have gas pumps out front. That is a bummer, since I plan my diaper purchases to coincide with the Friday double points. I am going to write cust svc and protest. Can't hurt!

I would be really curious to find out more about how the gas promotion works. I sometimes get receipts that print out .02 cents off so I never even bother with them.

Yesterday the $3 off wasn't printing at all at my store. They just reached in the till and gave me $3! Well, actually $6 because I did it twice. I had done it earlier at another store and it didn't print out then either. I asked customer service about it and they were not helpful at all. (It wasn't the store I love on Volvo in Chesapeake. They NEVER give me any problems.) Needless to say I didn't get the $3 on that order, but then again I'm probably not going to contest it as I only paid 0.18 for the order!!! Yesterday was a great sales day for me $127 worth of stuff after sales and before coupons…$33 with coupons. Coupons really do make a difference.

Oh, forgot to mention…. There is a rebate from SC Johnson on the purchase of 3 items, including Ziploc, Glade, Windex, Shout and a lots of other products. (http://www.scjohnson.com/Libraries/Download_Documents/Rebate_Form.sflb.ashx) I decided to use it on the Ziploc deal last night as I had a B1G1 free coupon and a $1/2 coupon. Since it doubled it cost me $4 and I should get $5 back. Well, the deal was sweetened when I got a catalina for $2 off my next order from ziploc. So even without the $1 being doubled this will be a money maker. The best part about this rebate is that it can be used up to 3 times per household and doesn't end until 7/15/10!

Reply

Laura D October 8, 2009 at 6:50 pm

Just to clarify on the last comment I purchased 4 boxes of ziploc.

Megan, keep those receipts!! they do add up over time. I have 2 in diapers right now, and have found that the FF brand diapers called Baby Basics are exactly the same as Huggies, my favorite diapers for my first 3 kids. Only the Huggies are more than twice the cost of the store brand. FF gives between 2 cents and 5 cents per bag. So if I buy 4 bags of diapers (40ct/$9.99), I can get a 20 cent per gallon gas receipt. But Wait, there's MORE!! If you go and buy your diapers on a Friday, FF will double your gas receipt, so you get a 40 cent coupon. You can use them any day of the week, but they only double upon makin a purchase on Fridays. Watch them if you know you are due a gas coupon, sometimes they don't properly double, and they will give you another one. I find these things in carts, on the ground in the parking lot, people even leave them at the register. My parents won't use theirs, so I collect those too, just ask around. I regularly collect between 50 and 75 cents worth of tickets every two weeks. You have to remember, those little 2 cent tickets are worth .30 at the pump. You can combine up to 10 tickets at a time, they scan right there at the pump. Plus, every FF with a gas station has an attendant, and they are usually very helpful. Take all your receipts, add them up in your head, and multiply by 15. That is the amount you will save off your gas total! The pumps only pump up to 15 gallons at a time, no matter how much you need. You would have to reenter your card to continue to fill up, if 15 isn't enough. I think the pumps have cash receivers also. HTH!

Just wanted everyone to know that FF is no longer giving double gas rewards. that promo ended in sept, (the manager at the newport news store said).
